SGA is excited to announce the opening of SGA officer nominations!
Officer positions available include: president
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Webmaster
- Class Representative
- Script Your Future Assistant Coordinator
You may find a copy of the SGA Constitution, which outlines each officer’s responsibilities, in the link below or under the LECOM Portal > Pharmacy School > Erie Campus > SGA Constitution. (Article 4)
All nominees must submit a letter of intent as well as collect the signatures of 10% of your classmates endorsing your nomination. The letter of intent may include your past experiences, why you are running for the position, why you feel appropriate for the position, etc.
The signatures may be collected virtually. I recommend creating an editable Google Document or similar service to request your classmates’ virtual signature (email and name). At the top of the form upon which you collect virtual signatures you must include the following completed text:
I, ________(insert name)_____, verify that the signatures below endorsing my application for the SGA officer position of ___________(insert officer position) ___________, were gathered truthfully and honestly. I understand that falsification of signatures will result in immediate disqualification from consideration.
Please submit your letter of intent and virtual signatures to my email (KOnder56382@rx.lecom.edu). The due date for SGA officer applications is no later than Tuesday, 9/20, at 12:00 pm.
Nominees will also be required to make a short speech via Zoom to their classmates prior to the elections. We are aiming for October 4th, I will make an announcement with an official time and date once we get closer to the date and positions are filled.
The Script Your Future Coordinator is an application position instead of an elected position. It lasts two years and is a very prestigious position that can truly set you apart on your CV. The SGA Board and the pharmacy school faculty strongly encourage students to apply for this position. The application can be found below, and it will be due Tuesday, 9/20 at 12:00 pm as well.
