You are almost there! The end of the semester is right before you and you will be able to reap the rewards of all your hard work and sacrifice. Right now, you need to do two things. The first is to take care of yourself. This is critical to keeping the impending burnout at this point at bay. You need to make at least a little time for fun, whether you are forging towards boards or working through Clinical Neuro. Fun helps our heart, our body, and …. our mind. Your cognitive functions will be sharper and more efficient. Your processing and recall will improve. It also helps to boost positive energy. I know time is at a premium, but please make time as this is essential for your well-being and your success. Your second task as you wrap up the year is to take stock of your accomplishments. (There are many!) You have packed so much learning into this year. That amount of material cannot be adequately captured in a calendar. You have made sacrifices. You have grown immensely personally and professionally. You are not the same person you were. You have overcome obstacles. You have hopefully savored your successes. Please do not lose sight of this. I know it is easy to do as you are always after the next goal, but we feed motivation and confidence by looking at where we have been. SO, your challenge is to do a little of both of these. Below are some useful links to help with this. I wish you a positive and energized week.

Take care, Dr. Dunbar
