February 21, 2017 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Lecture Hall D
As many of us have heard, we as a nation are in an opiate epidemic. As healthcare providers, and future healthcare providers, we will be on the front lines of preventing more deaths from opiate misuse, abuse, and overadherance. We all hope we never have to use this knowledge, but if we have to, we will know how to properly save a life!
This event being held in conjunction with the Erie County Department of Health, will help prepare future physicians, pharmacsts, dentists and LECOM faculty/staff on proper administration of naloxone. AT the end of this 2 hour course, each person will leave with a certification in Naloxone administration. This event will give you the knowledge and hands on experience with Narcan, the nasal spray, and Evzio, the autoinjector.
In order to know how many people will be in attendance, please put your name on the ‘Google Doc’ below under your correct heading!
